BimmerWorld BMW CCA Club Racing School at CTMP

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park - GP

About this event

If you're considering advancing to the ranks of BMW CCA Club Racing or interested in accelerating your driving skill to a new level the BimmerWorld BMW CCA Club Racing School is the event is for you. The school is open to advanced BMW CCA HPDE students and instructors, as well as participants with equivalent driving experience from other recognized organizations.

The BimmerWorld BMW CCA Racing School is a safe, fun and intense learning experience designed to teach you a new level of performance driving along with the fundamentals of BMW Club Racing. Successful completion of the school with demonstrated skills will qualify you to apply for a provisional BMW CCA Club Race license. The weekend consists of eight classroom sessions and eight track sessions. The classroom curriculum with the supporting track sessions covers advanced situational awareness, communicating with your car, predictability, safe passing anywhere, closed circuit, door-to-door performance driving, competitive passing techniques, driver/race car preparation, and knowledge of BMW CCA Club racing rules. On the track you’ll experience corner passing, driving three-wide at speed, green-flag practice starts, and a full simulated race exercise all under the watchful eye of the BimmerWorld BMW CCA Club Racing Instructors and On-track Coaches.

The learning is accelerated, the driving is fast, and the experience is unforgettable! Any car suitable for use in a BMW CCA HPDE event can be used. Participants do not need a race prepared car, and all manufacturers/models of cars are welcome. Note that helmets must be either Snell SA2015 or Snell SA2020

The cost to students attending the two-day school is $895 CAD (HST included), with early-bird pricing of $835 CAD before March 1. United States residents will enjoy the lower cost benefit of the favorable exchange rate! Solo lapping is available on Friday, April 19, to race school attendees. You may register for Friday lapping at the same time as registering for the race school, with the cost dependent on when you register ($450 CAD if you register more than 6 weeks before, $495 CAD if you register more than 3 weeks before, $530 CAD otherwise; all prices HST included).

Please direct your questions and inquiries to the Chief Instructor, Shaun McKenzie (shaunmckenzie839@gmail.com).

Race School Coaches
Experienced racers from BMW Club Racing and other sanctioned race series are invited to help coach. We need racers to participate in discussions regarding a variety of topics, take part in on-track exercises, and observe and comment on the actions of the students. When on track, you will be using your own car and not be in the student's car. Friday lapping is free for those who commit to coach Saturday and Sunday. If interested, please contact the registrar (Allan Lewis at allan-lewis@rogers.com) directly – do NOT register as an instructor for the Trillium DE that weekend as that is for DE instructors only.
